Uno spettacolo dai toni cupi e de-saturati, ambientato in un Kazakistan straziato dalla carestia e la povertà dopo la Rivoluzione russa. La storia di un poeta, letterato e insegnante, Magzhan, che lotta per rendere la sua terra un posto migliore, e che morirà giovane, non senza aver amato davvero – un’insegnante sua collega di nome Guslim. Il lavoro sui contenuti ha seguito un impianto stilistico dettato dalla storia, la simbologia dei luoghi e la struttura emotiva della narrazione: 15 tavole illustrate in toni de-saturati e in bianco e nero, lavorate su Procreate e Photoshop, che sono poi state animate e amalgamate alla scenografia reale. Un risultato acclamato dal pubblico per due date sold out.

A show with dark and desaturated tones, set in a Kazakhstan torn by famine and poverty after the Russian Revolution. The story of a poet, writer, and teacher, Magzhan, who struggles to make his land a better place and who will die young, not without having truly loved – a colleague of his, a teacher named Guslim. The set design consists of a 16×8 meter LED screen, with two mirrors placed on either side reflecting its content – a scenic option to which Livermore is particularly attached and uses for many other productions. The work on the content followed a stylistic approach dictated by the story, the symbolism of the locations, and the emotional structure of the narrative: 15 illustrated panels in desaturated tones and black and white, created using Procreate and Photoshop, which were then animated and integrated into the real set. The result was acclaimed by the audience, with two sold-out performances.
