La cerimonia di inaugurazione del Dubai Water Canal nel novembre del 2016 è stata firmata da Prodea Group, ed ha valso all’azienda il più importante premio del live entertainment del Medio Oriente. Alla presenza di Vicepresidente e Primo Ministro degli Emirati Arabi Uniti e del Sovrano di Dubai Sua Altezza lo Sceicco Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, è stato immaginato un grande spettacolo che ha offerto una combinazione di stile e bellezza, ma anche di tecnologia e creatività. Da una tribuna semicircolare che riproduceva la scenogra­fia di un antico teatro romano, grazie alla fusione di coreogra­fie danzanti sotto una cascata di acqua alta 15 m con video, effetti olografi­ci creati ad hoc, 3 km di laser show ed effetti pirotecnici, il pubblico ha potuto vivere lo storytelling della costruzione del Dubai Water Canal in modo emozionante e immersivo. Successivamente il canale si è trasformato in un vero e proprio palcoscenico per la seconda parte dello show, in un crescendo di emozioni visive spettacolari, alimentate da proiezioni lungo le rive del canale e da ballerini-acrobati in costume che sull’acqua hanno raffigurato il nuovo life style di questa rinnovata area della città.

The inauguration ceremony of the Dubai Water Canal in November 2016 was organized by Prodea Group, which earned the company the most prestigious award in Middle Eastern live entertainment. In the presence of the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, a grand spectacle was envisioned that offered a combination of style and beauty, as well as technology and creativity. From a semicircular platform that recreated the setting of an ancient Roman theater, the audience experienced an emotional and immersive storytelling of the construction of the Dubai Water Canal, featuring a fusion of dancing choreography under a 15-meter waterfall, custom-created videos, holographic effects, a 3-kilometer laser show, and fireworks. The canal then transformed into an actual stage for the second part of the show, building up to a crescendo of spectacular visual emotions, powered by projections along the canal’s banks and costume-clad acrobatic dancers on the water, depicting the new lifestyle of this revitalized area of the city.
